Frequently Asked Questions

Most of the devices we receive are re-used within Europe or more often than not, forwarded onto developing countries across Asia and Africa where mobile telecommunications are much more widespread than landline.
All the iPhones we purchase are redistributed in bulk to various approved partners in developing countries. We do not sell to the general public.
We will send you a Royal Mail Tracked (TM) returns envelope which will enable you to send up to 2 devices back to us free of charge. If you have more than 2 devices, please register for multiple packs to cover the additional number.

You can either send us your handset(s) immediately by selecting the "Fast Track DIY" option or if you would prefer we send you a fully addressed returns envelope, then select the "Phone Pack" option.

Either option will enable you to take advantage of the Royal Mail Tracked (TM) service, where you are insured up to £50 and you will be able to track the progress of your parcel providing you have sent it via your local Post Office as this enables the "tracked" element and proof of posting to take effect.

Please note, we cannot accept responsibility for non-delivery of iPhones. We recommend that you send any high value units via registered post to ensure successful delivery. This will cost approximately £3 - £6.

Please send Special Delivery packs directly to us at:

Apple Recycle 153 Brooker Road
Waltham Abbey

IMPORTANT! If you trade in 10 or more phones in the one order, you will be given a free courier drop-off or collection service.
All we need is just the handset with its battery. If you want to send charger, box etc then we are happy to recycle these also for you but they will not effect the price paid to you. In addition, if for whatever reason we have to return the handset to you, we cannot guarantee to return any accessories received with it.
Please make sure you remember to remove your old sim card - we cannot be responsible for any sim cards left in the device and it is not possible to return them once we receive your phone.
If your phone is blocked, it is likely it has been reported lost or stolen. We work closely with the Police and GSMA to ensure any blocked devices are dealt with immediately. We do not purchase blocked handsets. If you are the rightful owner of a blocked handset, we suggest you contact your service provider to have the phone unblocked.
Network locked handsets are fine.
No. There is a growing number of counterfeit phones in the UK market. These handsets look very similar to genuine products but are illegally produced and may prove to be dangerous to use. We do not accept any non-genuine products.
If you simply go into Settings > General > Capacity you can see the size in "GB" (Gigabytes) of your iPhone, then you just need to click on the option that is closest to your iPhone’s memory size!
Yes you can, depending upon the level of damage. Please look at the list of requirements on the sales page to see if your phone still qualifies. If you are still unsure, then please contact us directly.
We pay you by Faster Payment (Same day bank transfer).
Normally, if your phone is in the condition stated and it goes straight through our testing process, you could have payment the same day, or certainly within 2 to 3 days.
We will send you emails at each stage of the process.
